Gig Harbor, WA - Memorial Day Weekend 2017

Memorial Day Weekend allowed us to sneak away for three nights in Gig Harbor, a place we have never been to before on our boat.  It took about 3.5 hours sailing and motoring from Elliott Bay.  We lucked out with gorgeous weather.  We have truly fallen in love with boating and the time it allows us to spend together as a family.  The peace and quiet, being outdoors and unplugging literally and figuratively is rare for all of us these days.  Another interesting tid bit from this trip, was we had our 3 dogs with us.  We now have two whippet puppies and our old whippet who will be 16 in August.  Whippets are wonderful salty dogs, they tire out easily and love to be lazy.

We moored at Arabella's Landing, a beautiful and well-maintained marina.  Sport made friends immediately on the dock and spent hours running around the marina park and docks.  Gig Harbor is well protected and a mecca for anchoring, stand up paddle boarding, and kayaking.  Our favorite store in Gig Harbor, was Ship to Shore Marine supply.
